T.2.1
Carrier Hotels

Carrier Hotels are among the most important facilities in the global information economy. They transit the majority of telecom, media and Internet communications -- of every type and in ever more complex configurations -- and have evolved to become the most expensive real estate on the planet.  Several trends are forcing a major re-evaluation of the architecture of carrier hotels, including the national security implications of such dense concentration of network facilities. In this panel, several of the world's leading experts on carrier hotels and their complex service ecosystems will highlight emerging problems and recommend new ideas for the development and design of these critical facilities. This is a "must attend" session for anyone interested in the security of the global Internet.
