YUTAKA YASUDA
Vice President, General Manager of Corporate Technology Sector

Dr. YUTAKA YASUDA received B.S., M.S. and Dr. Eng. degrees in electrical engineering & communications from Kyoto University in 1973, 1975 and 1984, respectively.

He joined KDD (International telecommunication company) in 1975, and has been engaged in development and standardization of mobile communication systems.

Until 1989, he mainly worked for digital mobile satellite system development in R&D Labs. He went on loan to Inmarsat HQ (in London) in 1984 and ASTEL Tokyo (PHS service provider) in 1994. In 1998, he was nominated as the leader of IMT-2000 Development in KDD.

After the establishment of KDDI (merger of DDI, KDD and IDO) in Oct. 2000, he was Director & General Manager of Mobile IT, ITS Development (in 2001), and Mobile Service Development (in 2002). He was nominated as Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Technology Division in Mobile Business Sector in 2003, and Corporate Technology Sector in 2005.
