TOM PHELAN

Tom Phelan is Principal Architect of Sonus, working in the Office of the CTO on VoIP next-generation architectures. Tom has an extensive background in IP routing, congestion control, traffic management and security. He is co-chair of the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) working group at the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and has contributed protocols on congestion control and Quality of Service to the IETF and the MPLS, Frame Relay and ATM Forum (MFA Forum). Past positions include VP of Advanced Development for Ennovate Networks, a maker of equipment for provider-provisioned VPNs, and CTO of Amnet, Inc., a manufacturer of Frame Relay and X.25 networking equipment.
