YASUHIKO KAWASUMI

Graduated, 1961, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Keio University. Entered KDD same year. Experienced submarine cable construction, operation & maintenance of satellite submarine cable and terrestrial micro-wave systems/networks, international department, Inmarsat satellite networks, management of International Communications Foundation. Moved to Japan Telecom Co., Ltd. in 1997. He participated in ITU meetings and Conferences since 1970. He serves for ITD-D SG2 rapporteur for Question 10 "Telecommunication for rural and remote areas" since 2002.
