STANLEY FERTIG

HBO International

STANLEY FERTIG is senior vice president of HBO International, overseeing the pay television company’s mobile businesses outside the US. Under his leadership, HBO launched a multi-country mobile television service on Vodafone Live!, including full episodes of some of HBO’s most celebrated shows. Fertig’s duties include the development of international programming services on other new platforms.

During the 1990’s, Fertig held a series of positions at Time Warner, where he pioneered localized television by creating television channels throughout the world. His credits include VIVA, the highly-acclaimed music channel in Germany, Hamburg-1, the first local television channel in Germany’s second city, Channel [V], the music television venture in Asia, and Z+, Hungary’s first music channel.

Fertig holds a B.A. degree from Columbia College, an M.A. from New York University, an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and a PhD from Harvard University. He and his family live in New York.
