An Intelligent Look At Net Neutrality
"Net neutrality" means different things depending on where you sit, but there are consistent and salient themes to the debate: convergence, advanced broadband, and prospects for online innovation among them. The challenges regulators and industry stakeholders face are not unlike past high-stakes policy gambits like BandX, cable program access and mobile termination. And while "net neutrality" is sometimes seen as a uniquely American issue, in fact active debates are underway in Japan, Australia, Korea and elsewhere. This panel may not find the "right answer" but four experts will help frame the issue so as to structure an "intelligent look" at net neutrality.
