Conference Program Abstract The proliferation of technology advancements has enabled offering consumers an unprecedented menu of new voice, video and data Internet Protocol (IP)-based services. These new IP-based services are fuelling the drive for complex operator interconnection arrangements so that consumers can experience seamless communications. Service providers need information from each other to interconnect and deliver services to their own subscribers. This in turn is placing new demands on network infrastructures that will be necessary to support complex interconnection and service routing in the future. This talk will explore the challenges of operator interconnection in a converged environment. Recognizing the efficiency of IP-based systems does not negate the embedded investment and use of the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The new platforms will have to work with the PSTN for the foreseeable future. For this reason, inter-working between the IP and PSTN domains will remain an important issue for the next several years. Solutions for implementing “best in class” interconnection methods will be discussed including:
Target participants include: CEOs, CIOs CFOs, VP Network Operations, VP Services Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Interconnection representatives. Unique features of our presentation: Discusses the large operational efficiencies and improved new service time to market that can be gained by addressing interconnection operations often overlooked. Expected outcome of the presentation: After this talk, you will be able to identify areas and methods for reducing operational costs related to interconnection |
